Python is a multi-purpose programming language that is used by companies big and small. Notable companies that use Python include Instagram, Google, and Pinterest. Python is a simple language to learn because it doesn’t have too many rules, yet it’s powerful enough that most of today’s Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning programs are written in!
Building on the Python Level 5 course, students will continue to dive deeper into functions. Then we will learn to use the "import" statement that allows students to incorporate tools built by other programmers so that we don't have to reinvent the wheel. Finally we will begin to explore object oriented programming by introducing classes and objects.
By the end of the course, students will create a graphical quiz game and learn to model real-world objects in a program with classes. On top of programming skills, students will gain soft skills from explaining their solution to peers, thereby understanding how others are solving the same problem in different ways.
