Robotics with LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Level 1

Recommended age: 9+

Students will use LEGO Mindstorms EV3 to learn how to build solid structures, how different sensors work, motors, gears, and programming. Students will become familiar with how to build a solid robot and understand how different sensors work as they make their robots come to life. This course will challenge students to think critically and work in a team to solve problems.

Example projects include puppy, rattlesnake, spider, race cars, bumper cars, remote control cars, chain saw, and many more!

Robotics with LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Level 2

Robotics with LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Level 2 will immerse students in the building and programming of LEGO Mindstorms EV3. Students will learn essential programming skills, including how to make robots move and how to use sensors. Gaining knowledge to develop their own out-of-this-world creations. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their robots during the class robotics competition on the last class.

Upon the completion of the course, students will be introduced to computer programming through the Mindstorms robot. Students program by simply dragging-and-dropping symbols onto the screen to control the motors and sensors such that the robot will perform the intended action.
